PhD Comprehensive Exam, 2nd Semester 2021/2022 Announcement
يعلن قسم نظم المعلومات بكلية الحاسبات وتقنية المعلومات بجامعة الملك عبد العزيز عن الإختبار الشامل للدكتوراة للفصل الدراسي الثانى 2021/2022 وذلك خلال يوم الأحد 20 مارس 2022 ويوم الأحد 27 مارس 2022 كما هو مبين بالجدول التالى وذلك لشطري الطلاب والطالبات.
The Information Systems department at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology in King Abdulaziz University announces the PhD Comprehensive Exam for the second semester 2021/2022 which will be on Sunday 20th March 2022 and Sunday 27th March 2022 for both Male and Female sections.

التأهل للإختبار
يكون الطالب مؤهل لدخول الاختبار الشامل للدكتوراة فى الفصل الدراسى الذى يلى إجتيازه بنجاح دراسة المقررات الأساسية (701CPIS و 702 CPIS و 703 CPIS و 704CPIS ) .
Eligibility
The student is eligible to enter the PhD Comprehensive exam in the semester which is next to the semester where he/she successfully finishes the core courses of CPIS 701, CPIS 702, CPIS 703, and CPIS 704.
الإختبار الشامل للدكتوراة مكون من اختبارين
(سوف يعقد كلا الاختبارين حضوريا فى الكلية )
- التحريرى
- الشفوى
The comprehensive exam is composed of two exams
(Both exams are taking place in the faculty)
- Written
- Oral
1- الإختبار التحريرى
- يتكون الاختبار التحريري من خمسة اوراق أسئلة تحتوى على النطاق المعرفى لكل من المقررات الأساسية (701CPIS و 702 CPIS و 703 CPIS و 704CPIS )
- يسمح بإصطحاب عدد محدود من أوراق المذكرات (20 ورقة كحد أقصى من الحجم A4)
- لا يسمح بإستخدام اى من الاجهزة المحمولة كالجوال أو اللاب توب.
- يسمح بدخول الألة الحاسبة .
1- The Written Exam
- Consists of 5 questions sheets.
- It is allowed to bring a limited number of notebook sheets (20 pages of A4 size at most).
- The portable devices such as mobile phones and laptops are forbidden.
- It is allowed to use calculators
2- الإختبار الشفوى
- يتوجب على كافة الطلاب حضوره لكل من اجتاز بنجاح الاختبار التحريرى
- فى حالة عدم اجتياز الطالب للإختبار التحريري، فلا يحق يحق له دخول الاختبار الشفوي.
2- The Oral Exam
- Mandatory to be taken for those students who passed successfully the written exam.
- The student who fails in the written exam of the exams is not eligible to take the oral exam.
التقييم
يجتاز الطالب الإختبار فى حال الحصول على 70% على الأقل فى الاختبار التحريري والحصول على 70% على الأقل فى الاختبار الشفوى .
Evaluation
The student passes the exam in the case of achieving at least 70% in the written exam and obtaining at least 70% in the oral exam.
