The department was established in the academic year 1426/1427 AH. In spite of the short period of its inauguration, it shoulders the responsibility of benefiting from local, regional and international experiences and specifications to put firm scientific basis that is based on an ambitious academic plan supported by highly qualified, skilled and experienced academic and technical cadre to achieve the objectives and programs of the department that are centralized on graduates who are scientifically, technologically and technically qualified to fulfill the needs and requirements of the local and regional labor market through providing highly qualified employees in the field of information systems administration.
