Summer Training Program for the FCIT Students


The Lab. Affairs and Technical Support Unit holds a summer training program for the FCIT female students every summer. The summer training program is announced for at the end of the second semester every year. Announcements are usually placed on the FCIT monitors and notice boards found on the FCIT corridors. This training opportunity is available only for students who have finished level eight only.

Students willing to join the Summer Training Program should:
1. Fill in the Summer Training application form.
2. Sign on the terms and conditions stated in the application form.
3. Attach a copy of the student’s University ID card and the schedule.


Benefits to the students:
1. A recognition certificate, including the number of training hours, signed by the FCIT Vice Dean.
2. Hands-on practice in troubleshooting computers and labs preparation process for the coming semesters.
3. Knowledge of the technical problems that usually happen to computers and how to troubleshoot them.
4. Contacting the technician team in the Labs Affairs and Technical Support Unit and making use of their experiences.

Terms and Conditions:
1. Priority is placed for those who are in the last levels of their study.
2. The following conditions should be fulfilled: competency, organization, desire to learn, and communication skills.


* Students who are not yet in the last levels of their study can apply for the summer training program. Their applications will be accepted. NOTE: In case there are restoration activities to the FCIT building so that the building is occupied by these activities, in such cases, the Summer Training Program will be suspended.
