Workshop goals/objectives:
The main objectives are to develop awareness of the faculty’s supervisory role and responsibility toward graduate students involved in senior projects and master’s thesis in computer science.
The secondary objectives are to help develop a set of research skills, techniques and strategies required for successfully completing senior projects and master’s thesis in Computer Science. What students will gain from the faculty?
Expectations (Seminar outcomes)
At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to help develop their students’ required skills, techniques and strategies for efficiently performing the followingresearch/writing tasks:
● Designing the general framework of a senior project and MS thesis.
● Writing a research proposal
● Collecting, tabulating, describing, discussing and analyzing data
● Writing an abstract/summary
● Successfully using a particular reference system (such as Harvard, APA, MLA, IEEE, etc.)
