The world, we and our new generations live in, is the world of strength in all of its dimensions. This strength is embodied in knowledge and the world proves to us that we are going back to selectivity and mental cognition knowledge since competitiveness on strenuousness in the globalization era is based on scientific selectivity.
It is known that the progress of nations through history can’t be obtained unless we depend on ourselves and on adopting the culture of achievement, building up young and promising competencies; providing opportunities for change and creativity centralized on humankind that owns large spectrum of knowledge
In September 2006, the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology was established in King Abdulaziz University after it was one of the departments of the Faculty of Sciences. At that time, curricula didn’t contain the two majors: Information System and Information Technology and new majors are going to be introduced soon to serve the labor market and the country in general.
As a result of the new developments in the technological means that are available to us, we are ready to provide students with the necessary knowledge and experience to go through their practical life through majoring in one of the three majors that the FCIT has, namely; Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Technology. New majors are going to be introduced as soon as possible.
It is expected that students, parents and faculty members are going to browse our website to know more about the faculty so that they can have access to information they need. The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology employs highly skilled and qualified faculty members who have vast experience in information technology. As The Mohammedan’s speech demonstrates “Science is incurred by learning, and the one who seeks good will have it, and the one who avoids evil will be protected against it". It's a matter of how you get yourself used to, so that familiarize yourself to be successful, optimistic and, positive; therefore, I invite students to benefit from their faculty members who don’t save any effort in helping them reach their desired goals that is crystallized in graduating a generation of technicians since technology era has dominated all aspect of our modern time. If we are not ready to benefit from this technology, we will lose everything since the world depends heavily on information technology in every aspects either in terms of space communication or through computers. Banks, governmental administrations and other bodies depend completely on technology in running their work.
