         About The Forum

The Computing and Information Technology Forum was established in the year 1430 A.H in both the boys’ and girls’ campuses. In the year 1432 A.H, the forum was split into two forums one for each campus. The forum became the Forum of Computing and Information Technology (CIT Forum)

        Objectives

The CIT Forum was established in the girls’ campus to represent the female students in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology. It tries to meet their needs, interests and concerns. The FCT Forum offers various permanent activities that enable students to express themselves and it tries to sponsor any activities proposed by the students as long as they comply with the rules and regulations.

        Vision, Mission

The CIT Forum endeavors to train students when performing any task so that a balance is stroke between accomplishment and enjoyment.

         Activities
  • Free Reading Activity: This activity aims to develop interaction with knowledge and information through reading. It aims to train students to develop themselves by holding interesting weekly meetings with instructors and friends. Activities are announced on the FCIT notice boards.
  • Open Day (held every semester): The Open Day offers a number of activities. Each activity is concerned with the latest developments in the field of Computers. It is also concerned with specific topics that touch everyday life regardless of the field of specialization. In the first semester of the year 1431 A.H, the female students selected the activity “Around the World in Thirty Minutes”. The activity provided information about the traditional costumes and popular meals of certain countries in addition to the technological achievements of that country.
  • Training Courses: the CIT Forum offered a number of training courses in various areas such as networks, computers troubleshooting and self-development.
